Penelope-Myles Voss is a Nyack singer/songwriter who studied vocal performance at Ithaca College. Her songs are bittersweet and speak to themes of loss, hope and the search for identity.
This song explores the possibility of living happily in spite of the sheer frustration and anger that bubbled to the surface for so many Americans when Donald Trump was elected president. I wrote it in a moment of contemplation and meditation on the question: how can I go on living a joyful life while I am so angry at the state of our nation?
